Oxygen Sensors Bank 1, 2 Chevrolet Equinox 3.0L 2010-2017 Location and Replacement
In this video, I show you the exact location and access points for the Upstream and Downstream Oxygen (O2) Sensors on both Bank 1 and Bank 2 of the 2010-2017 Chevrolet Equinox with the 3.0L engine.
Knowing exactly where these sensors are located is key to a smooth repair, as they can be difficult to reach due to exhaust heat shielding and tight engine bay clearances. A failing O2 sensor is a very common cause for a check engine light, and it can negatively impact your fuel economy, cause rough idling, and lead to poor overall engine performance.
⚠️ Safety First: You will be working directly on the exhaust system, which gets extremely hot even after short drives. Always allow the engine and exhaust components to cool completely before beginning work to prevent severe burns. Use a dedicated O2 sensor socket, apply penetrating oil if the threads are seized, wear safety glasses and gloves, and be careful not to damage the wiring harness when disconnecting the sensors.
As an experienced mechanic, I am here to help you get your fuel and emissions systems running perfectly again.
